Why Doron Lazarus, CISC chose to be in the helping profession

I was drawn to the helping profession by a deep desire to support others through their struggles—especially when it comes to sleep and overall well-being. Having personally faced both physical and mental health challenges, including a difficult battle with chronic insomnia, I know how overwhelming and isolating these issues can feel.

That experience gave me not only a deep sense of empathy but also a strong sense of purpose: to help others reclaim their health, clarity, and peace of mind. Today, I’m committed to guiding people toward lasting, meaningful change—starting with something as foundational as a good night’s sleep.

Doron Lazarus, CISC's approach

My approach to sleep coaching is holistic, integrative, and deeply personalized. I don’t just look at the sleep issue in isolation—I work with the whole person. That means exploring the physical, emotional, behavioral, and even spiritual factors that may be affecting your rest.

Rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions, I take the time to understand your unique story and tailor a plan that fits your life. I believe in a collaborative process where you’re not just a passive recipient, but an active partner. Together, we’ll uncover insights, strengthen intuition, and create real, lasting change—starting from the inside out.

What you can expect from sessions with Doron Lazarus, CISC

In our sessions, you can expect a personalized and supportive experience designed around your unique needs and goals. I draw from a wide range of tools—including life and sleep coaching, as well as therapeutic approaches like CBT, ACT, ERP, and hypnosis—to help address both the surface symptoms and the deeper root causes of your sleep challenges.

When appropriate, I also incorporate functional lab testing to identify any underlying imbalances in the body. This allows us to take a truly holistic approach, whether we're addressing insomnia, apnea, snoring, or related concerns. My goal is to guide you with clarity, compassion, and practical strategies that lead to lasting, meaningful results.

Doron Lazarus, CISC's experience working with the Jewish community

As a proud member of the Jewish community and a former rabbi, my involvement in Jewish life is both personal and ongoing. I remain actively engaged and deeply connected to the values, rhythms, and experiences that shape observant Jewish life.

Many of the individuals I work with—both clients and the coaches I train—come from observant backgrounds. This shared understanding allows me to approach my work with cultural sensitivity, respect, and insight. Whether it’s navigating sleep challenges during Shabbos, addressing stress tied to communal responsibilities, or working within the framework of halacha, I strive to offer care that’s not just effective, but also deeply attuned to the world my clients live in.

What my clients have to say about working with me:

  • Working with Doron was life changing. I was addicted to sleeping pills that didn't even work anymore and I had a very hard time falling asleep. Doron worked with me to develop a customized approach to accomplish my sleep goals, and get off the pills, which I did. I highly recommend working with him.

  • I have struggled with sleep issues for 35 years! I tried sleeping pills and diff apps and everyone’s bright ideas and nothing helped. Doron as a sleep coach didn’t just treat the symptoms, but he looked to find the root of the problem. Between lab testing for diff hormones levels, hypnosis, and behavioral changes he was able to really pinpoint my problem and give me direction and advice on how to feel better and start sleeping like a normal person !! I highly highly recommend calling him for sleep coaching. It’ll change your life. Without proper sleep, one cannot function. I feel like a different person and I’m so grateful.

  • Sleep is (finally) HERE! After being awake for over a few months and not remembering ever conking out on a consistent basis, I thought I was a lost case. Especially after being to other medical and alternative practitioners with no long term success. If you are reading this, there is hope! This works. Doron Lazarus is the #1 sleep coach! So, you have been led to the right place. Appreciate this and act now by booking a package before you have to secure sessions a year in advance- and I'm not kidding around here. I personally appreciate how quick, efficient, on target, understanding, compassionate, relevant, respectful and wise Doron is. Thank you Mr. Lazarus for all you have done for me.
