Deetza Rosen, LMHC's style
🎯 Direct 💙 Warm 💡 Solution-oriented 🧘 CalmWhy Deetza Rosen, LMHC chose to be in the helping profession
Having walked my own path in both my personal and professional life, I’ve come to understand how powerful a truly caring presence can be. I’ve seen firsthand how the right support at the right moment can shift everything, sometimes in ways a person didn’t even know were possible. This is a big part of why I show up for my clients the way I do, with genuine encouragement and a steady belief in their ability to grow. It matters deeply to me that the people I work with feel met exactly where they are, without pressure or judgment.
I get so much joy from helping people build real, concrete skills they can use as they navigate whatever challenges life brings their way. Clients often tell me that my calm and nonjudgmental presence helps them feel comfortable, grounded, and understood, which allows the work to unfold naturally and at a pace that feels right for them. My hope is that our time together gives you a space where you feel completely safe and validated, and where your experiences can be explored with honesty and compassion. More than anything, I want you to leave each session feeling supported, empowered, and more connected to the strengths you already carry within you.
Deetza Rosen, LMHC's approach
My practice centers on a skills-focused approach that helps children, parents, teenage girls, and women build meaningful regulation and coping abilities that truly support them in daily life. I draw from an integrated methodology that combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Somatic Therapy, and practical behavioral strategies. This blend allows us to look closely at thought patterns, understand how the body carries emotional experience, and create realistic plans for managing strong feelings and responding more constructively in difficult moments. My goal is to help clients gain tools they can actually use, whether they are navigating relationships, problem solving, or learning to approach challenges with greater confidence and calm.
I specialize in treating anxiety and rely on a range of evidence-based methods that have consistently proven effective for the clients I work with. A major part of this work often includes exposure and response prevention, which is a powerful approach that teaches us how to change the responses that keep fear alive and ultimately break the anxiety cycle. When I work with children, I place a strong emphasis on partnering with parents so skills can be reinforced and practiced at home, and I also offer parent coaching either alongside therapy or on its own. I have additional expertise in treating Selective Mutism and use evidence-based protocols that have led to significant and lasting progress for many of the children I support.
What you can expect from sessions with Deetza Rosen, LMHC
I offer in-person sessions in South Florida and also provide convenient telehealth options for clients anywhere in New York or Florida. My primary goal in therapy is to create an environment where every client feels comfortable, safe, and genuinely cared for. Once we establish rapport and I have a clear understanding of your story and what brings you here, we begin the process of clarifying your goals and shaping a path that feels realistic and supportive. I want therapy to feel like a collaborative space where you can show up as you are and feel guided in a way that fits your needs.
When I work with children, I make sure sessions are engaging, interactive, and appropriate for their developmental stage. We often use hands-on activities like coloring, therapeutic books, games, and kinetic sand to help them learn and practice new skills in a way that feels natural and fun. To encourage growth between sessions, I frequently assign action plan homework that gives children and families a chance to reinforce what we worked on together. Throughout our time, we revisit progress regularly so the experience stays productive, positive, and aligned with your goals and evolving needs. My hope is that each session leaves you or your child feeling supported, empowered, and confident in the steps we are taking together.
Deetza Rosen, LMHC's experience working with the Jewish community
I worked as a school counselor for a number of years, beginning in New York yeshiva day schools and later in a Torah day school in Florida, before eventually transitioning to private practice full time. Those years gave me a deep appreciation for the emotional, social, and academic worlds children move through every day, as well as the challenges parents and educators face. It is a privilege to continue serving my community in a way that feels both meaningful and aligned with the values I grew up with. I feel grateful each time a family trusts me with their child’s care or chooses to share their struggles, hopes, and goals in a therapeutic space.
A central part of my work is providing counseling that fully respects my clients’ hashkafos and honors the many nuances within the frum community. I recognize that no two families practice or experience Yiddishkeit in exactly the same way, and I strive to approach each person’s background with genuine curiosity, openness, and sensitivity. My intention is always to create a space where clients feel understood without having to explain the basics of their lifestyle or beliefs, and where therapy feels consistent with who they are. Whether I am working with a child, a parent, or an adult client, I aim to shape each session in a way that fits their unique needs, values, and goals while offering support that feels both respectful and effective.

What people have to say about working with me:
-
This therapy has been life changing for my son. He had been struggling with anxiety for a long time, which was negatively affecting his schoolwork, social life, and mental health. Deetza’s gentle intervention and intuitive guidance has helped my son overcome challenges, steadily reach his goals, and learn new skills that he has since been able to apply to many areas of his life. Her program was structured with clear goals, rewards to help with motivation, practical applicable skills, consistent support and encouragement, as well as a sensitivity to my son’s specific needs. He is now able to handle stress in a very healthy way, thanks to the skills that she taught him. This experience has allowed my son to finally have success academically and socially, and to feel calmer, happier, and more confident.

"Deetza has an extraordinary ability to combine clinical insight and skills with an easygoing, approachable nature that made my daughter feel comfortable and at ease. My daughter actually looked forward to her therapy sessions and to completing the treatment work due to the way in which [she] skillfully accomplished treatment goals in a fun and enjoyable way. Within only a few sessions, my husband and I saw marked improvement in my daughter's ability to emotionally regulate outbursts and to have the language to express what she was feeling. We also truly appreciated how responsive Deetza was with communication with us. I highly recommend Deetza to any family who is looking for their child to experience growth and develop skills in a nurturing, fun environment."

Deetza has a wonderful reputation here in South Florida for her work with kids struggling with selective mutism. It is not just a speciality of hers, she is a master at helping these children overcome this struggle. She has an easy going nature that kids can connect with. I have only heard positive feedback from the people who have worked with her.
