Why Parenting Support Group chose to be in the helping profession
The Parenting Support Group is a welcoming, confidential space where mothers can bring their real parenting struggles and feel genuinely heard. In a culture that often glorifies motherhood, this group provides a rare opportunity to be honest, vulnerable, and authentic without fear of judgment. Here, mothers connect with peers who truly understand the joys and challenges of raising children, offering emotional support, encouragement, and practical guidance drawn from shared experience. Together, we navigate the highs and lows of parenting, helping one another build insight, patience, and confidence along the way.
Each session blends reflective and creative approaches, including sand tray therapy, attachment-based parenting techniques, and principles of play therapy. These tools create meaningful opportunities for self-exploration and growth, supporting mothers in both their personal development and their parenting journey. Our mission is to cultivate a nurturing, supportive community where mothers can strengthen themselves, learn from one another, and rediscover joy, balance, and resilience in their daily lives. This group is not just about parenting—it's about fostering connection, self-compassion, and a deeper sense of confidence as a mother.
Parenting Support Group's approach
This group is designed for mothers seeking emotional support, genuine connection, and a safe place to reflect openly on their parenting experiences. It welcomes women who love their children deeply but sometimes feel overwhelmed, isolated, or unsure if they are "doing it right." In a supportive, non-judgmental environment, mothers can share both challenges and triumphs, feeling truly seen, understood, and encouraged. Together, participants explore the realities of motherhood, finding reassurance, insight, and practical guidance from others who genuinely relate.
The group is especially helpful for those navigating stress, guilt, or the day-to-day demands of parenting, offering tools and community to strengthen emotional resilience and restore a sense of balance. It is a space for mothers who value connection, self-reflection, and personal growth, and who want to nurture both their children and themselves with greater presence, patience, and compassion. Above all, this group fosters a sense of belonging and renewal, reminding mothers that they do not have to face the journey of parenting alone.
What you can expect from sessions with Parenting Support Group
Participants can expect weekly in-person sessions in Brooklyn, N.Y., where mothers come together in a welcoming, all-female space to share, reflect, and support one another. Each session encourages open conversation, gentle guidance, and opportunities for emotional exploration using approaches such as sand tray therapy and attachment-based reflection. Confidentiality is carefully maintained, ensuring a safe and trusting environment for authentic sharing and personal growth.
In addition, members can stay connected throughout the week via a private WhatsApp group, offering encouragement, inspiration, and ongoing support between sessions. Over time, participants often experience deeper self-understanding, strengthened confidence, and the reassurance of belonging to a caring, like-minded community of mothers. This group fosters meaningful connections, helping mothers feel both seen and supported as they navigate the challenges and joys of parenting.
Parenting Support Group's experience working with the Jewish community
I have had the privilege of working within the Jewish community for many years, supporting both children and parents across a variety of settings. My experience spans local schools as well as community social service agencies, where I help mothers navigate the everyday challenges of raising children. As a play therapist, I work closely with children and their parents to strengthen emotional connection, communication, and understanding within the home.
Being a parent myself, I bring firsthand insight, empathy, and a realistic perspective on the joys and struggles of parenting. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for the resilience, warmth, and strength of the frum community, and continue to inspire my commitment to providing compassionate, practical, and culturally sensitive support to families. I am dedicated to helping parents build confidence, foster meaningful connections, and create nurturing environments where both children and parents can thrive.
