Can your purpose be tied to someone else?
I used to think that the reason I existed was because my parents merited to have kids.
As if my entire existance was for the sake of someone else.
And I’ve heard others express the same thing- that they’re here because of someone else's tikkun, or purpose.
But I fundamentally disagree that that’s possible.
That it’s possible for Hashem to decide to send a soul away from a world in which His love is revealed, all the way down into the darkest of worlds,
to go through trials and tribulations,
to have a whole winding journey of heartbreak and growth, if not for its own purpose.
Its own journey.
Its own unique gifts and shortcomings to work on.
There's a reason you're in their life, but their life is not the reason you are here.
We leave an imprint on every person we meet and every space we expend energy.
So trust me Lovely.
You are here because of your own grand journey of descovering truths
and because of the way that YOU are going to reveal G-d’s love to those who don’t see it yet.
Trust me. If you are alive in this generation, you have a butt-load of spiritual and emotional work to do and gifts to contribute.
It’s not that your journey matters, it’s that your journey is essential to the development and betterment of the world.
