I just watched Avigail Steinharter's video on symptoms here in Okclairty.
Symptoms aren't the problem, she says. They're the solution — the body or spirit crying out that something's off. That we're not living aligned with who we really are. 💡
I see the same thing with money.
- The overspending
- The avoidance
- The "where did it all go?" at the end of the month
- The fighting with your spouse about money — again
- The stress that doesn't go away no matter how much you earn
- The knot in your stomach when your kid asks why they can't have something
Most people treat these like problems to fix. Make more money. Budget harder. Cut the lattes. Download another app.
But what if they're not the problem? What if they're the signal?
What if the spending is trying to fill something that was never about money? What if the avoidance is protection — because looking means confirming what you already suspect about yourself?
HERE'S WHAT I'VE LEARNED:
The symptom isn't the enemy. It's the invitation. 🚪
And the people who actually change? They're not the ones who white-knuckle the budget. They're the ones who finally ask, what's this really about?
I like how Avigail put it: "As you walk on the way, the way appears."
