🎯 Direct 💡 Solution-oriented 🥇 Empowering 🎨 CreativeWhy Sarah Abenaim, AAPC chose to be in the helping profession
I didn’t actively choose to be in the helping profession; rather, it chose me. It's in my nature to give—to find fulfillment in seeing others around me thrive and succeed. There’s an undeniable joy that comes from being a catalyst for change, offering a helping hand, or simply being there as a listening ear. This is what drives me.
I know what it’s like to struggle, to feel both helpless and hopeful simultaneously. That relentless search for answers—the urge to open every door and turn over every stone until that one, seemingly obscure solution reveals itself—is something I’ve experienced firsthand. The memory of those who helped me along the way, often with just a single sentence that left a lasting impact, still resonates deeply with me.
It's through these experiences that I realized I can empathize with others in their darkest moments. I understand the power of support, no matter how small it may seem. I’m eternally grateful for those who guided me on my journey, and it’s this gratitude that fuels my desire to be there for others, helping them navigate their own paths to healing and growth.
Sarah Abenaim, AAPC's approach
My approach to coaching is highly adaptable, and tailored to the unique needs of each client. I recognize that every individual has their own path, desires, and goals, and I bring a diverse set of skills, education, and ideas to support that journey. Through a series of thoughtful questions and meaningful conversations, my aim is to empower clients to discover their own solutions. However, in moments of deep struggle or uncertainty, I’m also there to offer proven suggestions and guidance.
I firmly believe that every problem has a solution. It might not always be the solution you envisioned, and it might not resolve everything perfectly, but it will undoubtedly make life more manageable. My role is to help clients navigate through their challenges, finding the answers that will bring them closer to the life they want to lead, even if it means finding a new perspective on what “solution” means.
What you can expect from sessions with Sarah Abenaim, AAPC
In our sessions, you can expect to leave with clear, practical steps on what to do next. Many people come to me feeling incredibly stuck, and while therapy offers immense value in many ways, it doesn’t always lead to immediate, tangible progress. That’s where my approach differs. Each session will include weekly homework, allowing you to immediately implement the skills and changes we discuss, so you can start seeing results right away.
I expect my clients to be open-minded and ready to make real changes. Going against your "nature"—which is often just a way to justify holding on to stubborn habits—is key. I firmly believe that all habits can be adjusted, but it takes a willingness to embrace change. If you want to experience transformation, you have to be ready to put in the grit and effort. There’s no room for complacency here.
While there’s a time and place for venting and complaining, our sessions won’t be drawn-out opportunities for that. Instead, they are designed to provide you with direction and create real movement in your life. This process isn’t for the weak—it’s for those who are ready to step up and make meaningful progress.
Sarah Abenaim, AAPC's experience working with the Jewish community
My experience working with the Jewish community has been both rewarding and fulfilling. I firmly believe that most people have the power to create a healing trajectory in their relationships, even on their own, and I often draw from Torah values and examples to reinforce the skills we work on. Nothing is more meaningful to me than helping strengthen a Jewish home, especially in a world where time, external influences, stress, and even family and friends can sometimes strain those bonds.
Having lived and traveled across various neighborhoods, I’ve gained a deep understanding of the unique aspects of different communities and cultures within the Jewish world. This experience has made me particularly sensitive to the nuances and values integral to each community. It allows me to approach my work with empathy and awareness that truly resonates with the people I support.

Sarah, thank you so much for all of your help. When I first came to you my wife was completely insane and I had little confidence that we could stay together. Your guidance to each of us was excellent and we are doing great. She just went back to being the person she was before she lost her mind. Thank you for fixing her!"
