Devorah Markovic, MACP's style
🎯 Direct 💙 Warm 🙌 Affirming 🙏 SpiritualWhy Devorah Markovic, MACP chose to be in the helping profession
My deepest joy is helping people come home to their truest selves. I know what it’s like to feel unsure of your direction, and I also know that the version of you you’re seeking already exists. She just needs space to be seen and heard. My work is about creating that space and supporting people in discovering the clarity, courage, and confidence that were always inside them.
Supporting and guiding others has always come naturally to me—whether it’s listening deeply, offering perspective, or connecting someone with the person, idea, or resource that finally makes them feel understood in a way words alone can’t capture. I especially love working with people who are in that in-between place, feeling settled in their inner healing but sensing the pull toward something new, even if the path isn’t fully clear yet. I help them explore what excites and motivates them, and how to bring that energy into their everyday lives.
I believe true alignment comes when we see our values, career, relationships, and daily habits not as separate pieces, but as interconnected expressions of who we are. My approach focuses on helping clients connect with their gifts and essence in tangible, real-world ways. I often witness clients leaving sessions with simple, clear insights that bring surprising clarity, self-awareness, self-worth, and relief. Those shifts usually ripple outward, inspiring new opportunities, authentic growth, and more alignment in every part of their lives.
Devorah Markovic, MACP's approach
My approach is deeply attuned, energetic, and down to earth. Rather than handing you answers, I create a calm, guided space where you can arrive at your own insights—moments that might have you thinking, “that’s exactly it.” From there, ideas naturally begin to flow, slowly clarifying as you give yourself space, self-trust, and rest. I draw on Torah concepts, inner child work, and, when helpful, Human Design, always following the guidance of R' Yitzchak Breitowitz.
People often share that after a session they feel truly seen, more at home within themselves, and hopeful about what’s ahead. Sessions are a balance of compassion and holding, paired with precise tools, perspectives, and ideas that meet you exactly where you are. My goal is to create a space where clarity and growth emerge naturally, leaving you feeling supported, grounded, and empowered to move forward in alignment with your truest self.
What you can expect from sessions with Devorah Markovic, MACP
Our sessions are a balance of witnessing, reflecting, and guiding. People often leave with a stronger, more embodied sense of self, a clearer awareness of where they aren’t fully aligned, and a vision of what they want to welcome into their lives in a way that feels energizing rather than frustrating.
You can expect to feel more seen, more present, and more open to what’s available to you, with a growing sense of optimism instead of pressure to figure everything out or force clarity. Some of my most cherished moments are witnessing an insight land deeply with a client, sparking a quiet, curious excitement as ideas begin to flow from self-love and joy, rather than a sense of “I need to figure this out.”
Many people choose to begin with the four-session container, which gives enough space for ideas to integrate and unfold between sessions. This allows new insights, questions, and deeper layers to emerge naturally, giving the work time to expand in ways that feel organic and sustainable.
Devorah Markovic, MACP's experience working with the Jewish community
I work primarily within the Jewish community, naturally weaving concepts from Torah, Chassidus, and Bitachon into my work. I believe that whole-life integration and alignment are essential to living healthy, grounded, and Torah-true lives. I’m continually struck by how many modern psychological approaches have roots in Torah wisdom, including somatic work, meditation, and inner child healing, which allows me to blend contemporary insight with timeless guidance.
My professional experience includes supporting Chai Lifeline Canada, where I helped launch Project Chai Toronto, as well as advising and working with Bikur Cholim and PFA in Israel. Over the past decade, my work has also included trauma counselling in both group and individual settings, strategic advisory roles for mental health nonprofits and CEOs, and my former role as “My Closet Therapist,” where I developed a bespoke decluttering approach rooted in inner child work and somatic awareness.
At the heart of my work, I see helping someone come home to themselves as, in a deeper sense, helping the spark of Shechina within them return home too. It’s a process of creating space for presence, insight, and alignment, where both practical and spiritual growth can unfold naturally.

I know Devorah since 2023. We connected professionally in the manner that she is trained, among other skills, in crisis intervention and I offer courses in this field of expertise. I deeply trust Devorah. She is smart, high in emotional intelligence, caring and empathic, and super professional. Devorah can handle feedback well, as she is a mature growing person who always seeks to improve herself, and the lives of all around her. I started working with Devorah regularly on various projects and she adds tremendous value to my work in the mental health space. I cannot overstate how much I trust Devorah, and am proud to speak highly of her character.
