Thousands of studies show that integrating a patient’s religion and spirituality into mental health treatment can dramatically improve outcomes. It can accelerate recovery from depression, reduce psychological distress, and lower suicide risk up to sevenfold. Yet most clinicians are never trained to apply it.
Jewish Spirituality in Clinical Practice is a six-hour virtual convening of leading researchers and practicing clinicians exploring how spirituality can play a meaningful role in therapy.
This summit aims to give clinicians practical tools to thoughtfully integrate spirituality into their work. Participants will explore the psychology and neuroscience of spirituality, learn methods to help clients develop meaning, purpose, and spiritual connectedness, and discover Jewish psychological approaches and practices shown to strengthen emotional resilience and support healthier mental and spiritual lives.
