As parents, we show up to parenthood with a toolkit.
What’s inside it?
Everything we experienced as kids.
What we were taught.
What we promised ourselves we’d do differently.
And the tools we’ve picked up (or intentionally left behind) along the way.
The wider our toolkit, the more prepared we feel.
The tricky thing is,
Every child requires their own, uniquely designed toolkit.
You might come to the parenting table with solid tools… and still find yourself stretched to your limits.
One child may fit easily into what you know.
Another might push every boundary, challenge every strategy, and leave you realizing that what worked before just isn’t enough anymore.
That doesn’t mean you’re failing.
It means your toolkit needs to expand.
If you’re finding yourself thinking,
“I know there has to be another way,”
or
“What I’m doing just isn’t working for this child,” you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.
As a parenting coach, I help parents understand their child’s unique personality and their own parenting style—then build a toolkit that’s actually designed for that child.
Not just to survive parenthood…but to thrive!
