Pesach Tikvah's Executive Director Yerachmiel Stern, L.C.S.W.
Yerachmiel Stern, L.C.S.W.
Yerachmiel Stern, L.C.S.W. is the Executive Director of Pesach Tikvah. Before being appointed Executive Director, he served for ten years as the Borough Park Clinics Director. In that role, he helped Pesach Tikvah to build up a rich and effective group of resources in all capacities including psychiatry. Directing the Borough Park Clinics was of particular importance to Mr. Stern because he grew up in Borough Park. When he began his tenure as Clinical Director, the Borough Park, Kensington, and Flatbush areas lacked affordable mental health care. He successfully brought excellent, sophisticated mental health care to those underserved neighborhoods. As Pesach Tikvah enters its 42nd year, Mr. Stern is leading Pesach Tikvah's unique work as the preeminent mental health services provider for the Charedi and Chassidic community.
The Training Institute
The Training Institute at Pesach Tikvah is a licensed CEU granting educational institution for exclusive use by our therapists. It is a unique feature of our Family Centers that attracts the best therapists to work at Pesach Tikvah. The mission of the Training Institute at Pesach Tikvah is to augment our therapists' skills and knowledge so that they can treat their clients in the most optimal way. Founded in 2020, it fulfilled the dream of Pesach Tikvah's founders to have well-rounded therapists with expertise in treating different issues. Following each training, the therapists have ongoing group and individual supervision by top professionals in the modalities taught. Trainings are free for our therapists because we want as many as possible to expand their skills – it allows clients to be matched with therapists who are specially trained in treating specific diagnoses. Since its inception, Pesach Tikvah's Training Insitute has offered hundreds of hours of trainings to hundreds of therapists.
Past trainings include: Emotion Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Somatic Intervention, Internal Family Systems, Theraplay, Genograms, Gottman Method, Sandtray Therapy, Sensoriemotor Psychotherapy, and EMDR.
