Harnessing Anxiety as a Tool for Healing and Growth

We enter this world

So pure, so new

Impressionable, a slate so clean

With each connection and experience

New feelings, likes and dislikes

Boundaries, or a lack there of

They all start to form and build us

As we go through life

These feelings that show up

Anxiety, sadness, joy, anger

Excitement, resistance, calmness

They have meaning and purpose

Telling a story that once was

Creating a path for us to meet our needs

Understand them, and care for them

To not be ignored, pushed away or neglected

But to be heard and understood

Because they are important and precious

We need to slow down

Listen to the messages our feelings reveal to us

Acknowledge their significance

Learn from their wisdom

And move through the intensity

Ultimately bringing us to a space of deep healing and wholeness

Connecting to our soul

And embracing our unique true self
