The summer is over, the new year begins,
The overwhelm is starting, my head starts to spin!
Thoughts and emotions are filling the space,
Can’t keep up with my life, gotta pick up the pace.
To manage my time and schedule my chores,
Prioritizing what’s needed- I can’t clean those drawers!
So much to organize and plan, I’m feeling quite stuck,
I’m frozen, I’m paralyzed, I’m feeling just yuck.
There’s so much “To Do”, and the list keeps on growing,
I just can’t get started, but need to get going.
Can’t remember the details, so hard to follow through,
My difficulties and struggles, often misconstrued.
Why does everyone else seem to have it all together?
For me it’s “all or nothing” no matter what the endeavor.
If it’s mundane and repetitive, my attention can be fleeting,
But when it’s fun and done my way, it can be quite intriguing.
My brain is wired in a way that’s unique,
I learn strategies and skills, and some new techniques.
With focus and creativity, passion and drive,
Don’t stand in my way, I am waiting to thrive.
I got this! My superpowers will help me achieve,
I’ll celebrate my wins and success and believe.
My strengths and my growth is the journey that’s mine,
One foot forward, it’s progress redefined!
