FREE Jewish Doula for Medicaid in NYC & Nassau County

FREE Jewish Doula for Medicaid in NYC & Nassau County by Tova Weiss, Certified Doula - Far Rockaway

FREE Doula Services for Medicaid Patients in NYC and Nassau County

If you are pregnant and have Medicaid, you can receive doula support completely free.

There are no out-of-pocket costs at all.

No consultation fees.
No birth support fees.
No travel charges.
No hidden costs.

Medicaid covers doula support during pregnancy, during labor, and after your baby is born.

Many mothers simply do not know this benefit exists. Once they learn about it, they are relieved to know they can have someone supporting them throughout the birth experience without worrying about cost.

Support for Jewish Mothers and Frum Families

Many of the families I work with are part of the Jewish community. Pregnancy and childbirth often bring halachic questions, especially if labor begins on Shabbos or Yom Tov or when questions arise during the postpartum period.

For mothers who want guidance that respects halacha, all shailos can be asked and paskened by a posek.

Having support from someone who understands the needs of frum families, Jewish mothers, and observant homes can make the experience much calmer.

Birth is an emotional time. Knowing both your medical care and your religious values are being respected can make a real difference.

Serving Jewish Communities in NYC and Nassau County

I accept Medicaid patients from many communities including:

  • Brooklyn

  • Queens

  • Staten Island

  • Nassau County

  • surrounding Long Island communities

Many mothers searching for a frum doula, Jewish doula, or someone familiar with halachic concerns during childbirth reach out from these areas.

Hospitals across New York City and Long Island allow doulas as part of the support team during labor.

What Medicaid Covers

If you are enrolled in New York State Medicaid, you can receive doula services at no cost.

Medicaid members may receive:

  • up to 8 doula televisits during pregnancy and after birth

There are no out-of-pocket costs for Medicaid members receiving doula care.

This benefit is available whether your pregnancy ends in birth, miscarriage, or other outcomes.

What a Doula Does

A doula provides emotional, physical, and educational support during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum recovery.

Doula support may include:

  • helping you prepare for birth

  • creating a birth plan

  • continuous support during labor

  • helping partners support the mother

  • guidance during the postpartum period

  • connecting families to community resources

A doula does not replace medical care. Doctors, nurses, and midwives handle medical decisions.

The doula focuses on supporting the mother and family throughout the experience.

If You Have Medicaid and Are Pregnant

If you live in Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, or Nassau County and have Medicaid, you may already qualify for free doula services.

Many mothers say the most valuable part of having a doula is simply knowing they are not facing the birth experience alone.

If you would like to learn more or ask questions, you are welcome to reach out.
