The first week of school just wrapped up at my friend’s home, and, like every year, there was that quiet, completely unrealistic hope that this would be the year.
The year the kids would actually get into routines without a fight.
The year backpacks wouldn’t look like a tornado hit them.
The year “I’ll do it later” magically turned into “I finished it early!”
Yeah… that didn’t happen. 😅
Because here’s the thing: starting tasks, managing time, handling big feelings, remembering what’s due when… these aren’t about willpower or luck.
These are Executive Functioning Skills. 🧠
And for many kids and teens, these skills don’t come naturally. They have to be taught. Modeled. Practiced. Supported.
That’s where I come in. I help kids and teens learn how to:
- Get started and stay on track
- Organize time, tasks, and materials
- Handle big feelings without getting stuck
- Remember what’s due and when
We take these tricky, invisible skills and make them real, practical, and even… dare I say it… fun. 💛
Step by step, kids feel more confident, capable, and proud of themselves. And that’s the gift I love giving—helping them realize they can do it, even when it feels hard. 🌟
