🥇 Empowering 🎯 Direct 💙 Warm 😃 Humorous 💪 Challenging 💭 Open minded 🔥 Energetic 🌎 Holistic 🙏 Spiritual 🤝 CollaborativeWhy Zipa Leah Scheinberg chose to be in the helping profession
As a trauma specialist, I work with goal-oriented women who want to succeed in breaking through old patterns of trauma, pain, and anxiety, and who want to achieve their impossible. I am a child of Holocaust survivors, and I have seen what generational trauma can look like. This has informed my core specialty, which is trauma-informed treatment.
Whether you are struggling with anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties, or chronic and/or acute trauma, I applaud you for reaching out for help. The first step in true change is believing that things can be different, and reaching out is proof that you have crossed that line.
The mantra I hold for myself and for my clients is hope, belief, change, and growth. I believe in the innate wholeness of all human beings and I am inspired daily by the resilience and fortitude of the people I am honored to work with. I look forward to connecting with you.
Zipa Leah Scheinberg's approach
Individuals often come to me when they have been to traditional talk therapy and feel frustrated by the lack of change. As an EMDR Consultant, I use EMDR, AEDP, Compassion-Based Mindfulness, and Somatic Therapy to help people break free of old patterns and create healing and change in their lives. These modalities correct limiting beliefs stored in both the mind and body and aid in the release of negative energy and trauma stored in the nervous system.
My approach to trauma + EMDR therapy is warm, collaborative, and empowering. Working with people to overcome the effects of childhood neglect and abuse is my life's vocation, and I believe that with hard work, change is not only possible but inevitable.
I am currently writing a book on healing from Complex PTSD, and I incorporate many concepts of my written work in sessions. Clients are often astonished at the change in themselves after working with me, and I never get tired of hearing the line, "I never knew that life could feel this way:"
What you can expect from sessions with Zipa Leah Scheinberg
Our sessions are collaborative. I expect you to be able to talk about things you would like to change in your life as well as be rigorously honest about the things that are going right. I love when clients are motivated because it makes change that much easier. I use lots of different modalities, but most of all, the focus is on YOU as a human being, and we figure out together what works best for your healing.
I am committed to providing a compassionate and nonjudgmental space where you can freely explore your emotions and experiences. Together, we will celebrate your growth and progress, knowing that every step you take toward self-discovery and empowerment is a testament to your resilience and inner strength.
