About

I am a Board Certified Psychiatrist, Mindfulness-Based Psychotherapist and Workshop Facilitator, and Experienced Systemic Family Therapist, dedicated to bringing mindful awareness, presence and compassion to Psychiatry and Psychotherapy. I help families adapt and grow, so they can solve problems and improve their lives to make the world a better place.

Mindful practices of breath and body awareness, concentration and meditation help improve Emotional Health and Well-Being, decrease stress and increase life satisfaction and enjoyment.

As a Board Certified Psychiatrist I am skilled, knowledgeable and experienced in the practice of psychopharmacology. I am also aware that there are many people who don’t respond to medication, develop intolerable side effects, or prefer non-pharmacological approaches. For this large group of people there is now a robust alternative, a set of teachings and practices to reduce suffering and enhance emotional health and well-being. Training in mindful awareness and meditation can help:

• Reduce stress, sadness, and anxiety

• Develop skills to respond more positively to negative thoughts and

distressing moods

• Live with more conscious presence

• Increase life enjoyment

• Reawaken feelings of joy, equanimity and ease of well-being.

As a Bowen Family Systems Theory (BFST) Coach, I am dedicated to helping individuals, couples and families develop healthier, more satisfying relationships with themselves and others. BFST Coaching is the treatment of choice for relationship difficulties and intergenerational conflicts including, Working with the whole family is both restorative and proactive as multiple family members develop secure emotional well-being and an enhanced quality of life.
